Cruise Downtown Sun Prairie during Hot August Nights Car Cruise and the City of Sun Prairie’s National Night Out!
Cruise on down to Downtown Sun Prairie’s annual Hot August Nights Car Cruise and National Night Out for a fun family evening great for kids of all ages and classic car enthusiasts! The Road Apple Car Club shows off their very best classic cars, hot rods, custom cars, antique cars, and muscle cars during this annual club competition. This is your chance to look under the hood of some of the most beautifully maintained vehicles on the road. Bring down your kids to learn about the cars of the past and enjoy the beauty of a classic car!
Elvis tribute performer Tony Rocker will be rockin’ around the clock preforming the classic tunes of yester year. While you are listening to some tunes hop on over to grab a diner classic at the Market Street Diner booth, or sip a root beer float from the Beans ‘n Cream booth. Or stop in and have dinner at one of the many amazing restaurants in Downtown Sun Prairie.
The City of Sun Prairie Police Department has invited area public safety department to participate in our annual National Night Out. Come to take a tour of many of the vehicles used by the police, fire and ems in Dane County. Children will have the opportunity to meet the officers, fire personnel, and E.M.T.s that help during emergencies while learning more about safety and the equipment used. So many amazing public safety personnel in Cannery Square is sure to delight your child, or kid at heart!
New this year, don’t miss the opportunity to stop by ‘The Ref’ or Transportable High-End Rider Education Facility, the State Department of Transportation’s newest tool in the Zero in Wisconsin campaign. This education facility contains a mobile classroom and motorcycle simulator to help promote the 5 main areas of motorcycle safety.

Heritage Days at Pope Farm Conservancy

Pope Farm Conservancy has a rich history and we want to share it with you! Heritage Days is a great event for the entire family to spend a beautiful afternoon in Pope Farm Conservancy and hear the history of the land in the Town of Middleton. This is a FREE event and a fantastic educational opportunity. We even offer a unique, scenic, horse-drawn wagon rides.
Our featured presenters will be positioned at five different sites around the conservancy to teach you how the land was formed by glaciers; how native plants from the prairies that existed here hundreds of years ago; how the Native Americans gardened and made stone tools; where the site of a late 1800’s settlers cabin was; and how the CCC and SCS worked to control erosion in the 1930’s dust bowl era.

Badger Motor Officer's Association, Motor Officer Skills Competition

The best Motor Officers from the midwest will compete to see who the best police motorcycle rider is. There will be multiple events, including timed courses, partner rides, tethered rides, slow rides, and more. Public admission is free! The larger the crowd, the better the training is for these great motorcycle cops!
