Improve Performance, Reduce Risk of Injury - UW Health Sports Performance Training Program

Jun 16, 0014 June 16 - August 6, Mondays and Wednesdays, 9-10 a.m.

Reddan Soccer Park, 6874 Cross Country Road, Verona, WI
According to a clinical report from the American Academy of Pediatrics neuromuscular training programs can cut the risk of a serious ACL injury and should be recommended to at-risk young athletes, especially girls.

UW Health Sports Medicine is offering a summer performance program to help 12- to 18-year-old athletes get fit for soccer, lacrosse, football and other field sports. This program helps athletes develop more power to run faster, jump higher and change directions with speed. UW Health Sports Medicine licensed athletic trainers and strength coaches will teach athletes how to change direction using proper techniques that have been proven to reduce the risk of lower-extremity injury while improving your athletic ability.

Session topics include mobility for athletes, stability and control, positioning and loading, strength and power for sports, and more.
