Sierra Club Fall Kickoff

Ever wonder what the local Sierra Club is up to? Want to learn about our programs and plug in to activism through volunteer opportunities? Then this is the event for you! Also get a short and engaging overview of the local political landscape for environmental and women's issues from our keynote speaker, Wisconsin State Representative Chris Taylor.

There will be food, fun, and a chance to interact with volunteers from all our various activities. Come hear (and share) what’s happening, and how you can join in and make the difference you want to see!

Join the Friends of Wisdom Prairie members on an outing to visit the
Pheasant Branch Conservancy
Sunday, October 5, 2014
1:00-3:30 pm

Meet at Holy Wisdom Monastery (4200 County Road M, Middleton, WI) at 1:00 pm to learn about the history of the ecological restoration at the Pheasant Branch Conservancy from Susan Gruber. At 2:00 pm drive to the Pheasant Branch Conservancy and take a guided tour until 3:30 pm.

Susan Gruber is an accomplished ecological land manager and leader of volunteer ecological restorationists at the Pheasant Branch Conservancy with great enthusiasm for the natural world.
Cost: $10 donation/person ($8 tax deductible)
