MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Meteorologists say most of Hurricane Isaac's remnants will track south of Wisconsin.

National Weather Service Warning Coordination Meteorologist Rusty Kapela says what's left of the storm is expected to track into central Missouri by Saturday and then turn northeast toward southern Indiana. Initial forecasts said Wisconsin's far southeastern corner could see up to a tenth of an inch of rain Saturday night and Sunday, but the weather service has since scaled that back to no more than five-hundredths of an inch -- barely enough, as Kapela says, to wet the sidewalk.

The last time a tropical storm affected Wisconsin was in September 2008, when remnants of Hurricane Gustav and Hurricane Ike dumped as much as 3-1/4 inches of rain on the state's southern portions.
