Madison Police are reporting a home invasion on the 3000 block of Maple Valley Drive on Madison's southwest side.

It happened early Saturday morning just after midnight.

Two suspects entered an apartment building with guns and ordered two tenants down on the ground.

The robbers took money and electronics, then left in the victims' vehicle.

The suspects are still at large and the vehicle is missing.

They are described as two black males in their mid-20s with thin builds. One was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, and the other hard a darker hooded sweatshirt.

To Scared. I agree with you completely. But I have NEVER though the SW side was safe, ever!

This is scary to me. I live about a quarter of a mile from here and always thought I lived in a safe area. But now there seem to be more and more reports of these kinds of incidents and they seem to be random. I'm a single woman and I honestly wonder if I can feel safe sitting in my living room with my patio door open without having to fear someone walking down my street, see my open door and come in and rob me. I'm beginning to become concerned about my safety in Madison especially in light of the recent murders (in broad daylight)and the increased number of other random crimes. I moved here for my job and the last city I lived in had it's share of crime but they were rarely crimes against random strangers and the suspects were apprehended shortly after. Not sure what's different here but I'd like to be able to feel safe and know I can get gas and groceries without fear of being randomly robbed (or worse) and the suspects never being caught.

Is this the second armed robbery in a week for the west side madison? Nice. West Side is getting kind of bad.

A vehicle description would be good.

It seems all these recent robberies have the same type of suspect.
