Authorities say alcohol was involved in a deadly rollover crash Saturday night.

It happened at around 9:40pm in the 1300 block of West Union Road in Union Township.

According to the Rock County Sheriff's Department, 29-year-old Michael Hefty failed to maneuver a curve and rolled his car. The Arena man was partially ejected and pinned. Hefty was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passenger, from Mount Horeb, was not injured.

Neither were wearing a seat belt.

Mike is my cousin and I will miss him! I wish I was able to be there in Wisconsin to pay my respects and be with my cousin Jeff and help him through this trying time. Our prayers are with him and know that Mike is in a better place, finally at peace. Love, Kerry Jo, Wade & Wyatt Perkins from Caswell, Alaska

Michael was my great nephew. Michael came to visit us in Alaska in 2005. I enjoyed the time we shared together. Michael turned into such a wonderful young man. God rest his soul. Our church, River of Life Church is praying for our whole family. I will always cherish the memories I have of him. Love Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Mike

Michael was my cousin, and will be missed dearly. His trip to Alaska with his father Jeff will be one we remember forever. Many pictures and large Halibut fish were caught. I loved Michael's smile. I know Michael is with Aunt Blanche, Grandma and Grandpa Berg. God bless him and the whole family for this precious loss. I wish I was there in Wisconsin to be with Jeff and Mitch. My Dad, Mike and sister marilyn flew in to be there. Love Sherry
