SINGLE-VOTE ELECTION

SNEEDVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Angela Tuttle has been elected constable in a small Tennessee town by a single vote -- her own.

Tuttle told the Citizen Tribune newspaper that her father was a longtime constable who won his election in another district. He encouraged her to run as a write-in candidate for the county post. Her dad said no one was running for the office, and she should do it.

Tuttle wrote in her own name on the ballot. And no one else voted in the race. So, she won. Tuttle says not even her husband knew she was going to do it until a month before the election.

yep every vote counts as long as it's not presidential. Mr G Bush Jr is proof of that losing the popular vote twice

Just goes to show you that every vote does count.

Well Good for her. But she should have been a lot more honest with her own Husband. Such dishonesty is not good for any Marriage. And she is a Constable? So what will she be teaching her Kids if either they have some or will have some, will she say that it is ok for them not to be honest with their spouse, and if they say that this is not right, then.............

So not even her own husband voted for her? I wonder if he's still sleeping on the couch for that one.
