Court Orders Wisconsin Man to Turn Over Deer Head
A state appeals court says a Racine man must turn over a deer head to wildlife officials.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A state appeals court says a Racine man must turn over a deer head to wildlife officials.
According to the ruling, John Longo, now 69, took a dead deer from the roadside without a permit in February 2008. He ate it and had the head mounted.
Racine County Circuit Judge Allan Torhorst fined Longo one dollar and ordered him to give the head to the Department of Natural Resources when the agency asked for it. If the agency didn't ask by Halloween 2008, it had to issue him a permit.
Prosecutors appealed, arguing the deadline was improper. The 2nd District Court of Appeals reversed Torhorst and ordered Longo to give the head to the DNR immediately.
Longo didn't immediately return a message.

With all the road kill on our highways which the police nor anyone else will pick up and discard properly, they should be grateful citizens are helping to rid the roads of these horrid, smelly wisconsin road kill. Tourists would be truy attracted to these fresh country smells. yhe
