Columbia Co. officers find 28 grams of meth on suspect after police chase

PORTAGE, Wis. (WMTV) - A 23-year-old from Mazomanie is behind bars after law enforcement found 28 grams of meth and a scale on her following a police chase Wednesday.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says the Columbia County Drug Task Force was conducting a drug investigation in Portage, when a person was spotted leaving an area known for drug dealing.

A detective with the Sheriff’s Office approached the person but the person took off running, taking members of the drug task force on a foot chase through a residential area.

Officers eventually caught up and captured the suspect in the 500 block of East Cook Street. On the suspect, law enforcement officers found about 28 grams of Methamphetamine, a scale and other drug paraphernalia.

Trenton Lilly has been charged with:

• Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine 10g-50g

• Delivery of Methamphetamine

• Possession of drug paraphernalia

• Resisting/obstructing

• Carrying a concealed knife by a felon

• Felony Bail Jumping

• Violation of Probation

Lilly is being held at the Columbia County Jail awaiting a court appearance.
