Freezing Fog Causing Travel Concerns
Dense Fog Advisory In Place

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Those traveling Saturday night through Sunday morning should use caution on the roadways as slick spots are possible. It’s not snow we are tracking, but dense fog across the area. With temperatures well below freezing, freezing fog will adhere to untreated surfaces creating slick spots and ares of black ice. Visibility is expected to drop under a mile for most locations. A “Dense Fog Advisory” is in place for the entire area into Sunday morning.
Things to look out for include glossy pavement with light reflection and darker or dull spots on dry pavement. Also watch car tired fro water versus ice. As always, make sure to use low beam headlights, slow down, and allow extra space between you and the car in front of you. Fog will be slow to dissipate Sunday with many spots not seeing improvements until mid to late morning
