Wisconsin volleyball are back-to-back Big Ten champs with sweep over Michigan
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - No. 1 Wisconsin volleyball claimed back-to-back Big Ten Conference championships after a 25-23, 25-12, 25-11 sweep over Michigan inside the UW Fieldhouse on Friday.
It was the Badgers first back-to-back Big Ten title since 2000 and 2001.
Wisconsin hit .344 while holding the Wolverines to .046 as senior Dana Rettke tied her season high with 17 kills while also not recording a single hitting error. Molly Haggerty and Devyn Robinson each earned seven kills on the night while senior Sydney Hilley had 35 assists and 10 digs for her first double-double of the season.
This Big Ten championship is the seventh in Badgers program history as Wisconsin hit over .300 for the 10th time this season.
