MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Two new websites will be helping Town of Madison residents prepare for the township being absorbed by the City of Madison and the City of Fitchburg.
The City of Madison and City of Fitchburg websites will serve as resources to learn about the changes expected for the township when the attachment occurs Oct. 31, 2022.
“Although this chapter is ending, we will continue to work to make this transition a smooth process,” says Town of Madison Chair Jim Campbell.
The final attachment of the Town to the Cities will impact all Town residents, property owners, and employees. It will also impact people in the Cities to a lesser extent.
The websites, which were unveiled Thursday, will be a one-stop-shop for information, including timelines, ways to connect with both cities, as well as service updates. There are also maps, where residents can click to see if a property is impacted.
