New fan guidelines for American Family Insurance Championship

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -More fans will be able to attend the American Family Insurance Championship in June.

The golf tournament is increasing its maximum attendance to 7,500 per day. Previously, the maximum attendance was 5,000 per day.

“A championship that respects the health and safety of everyone remains a priority,” said Nate Pokrass, tournament director. “We appreciate our fans’ support and trust they will do their part to safely enjoy a fantastic tournament.”

Updated facial-covering guidelines for the AmFam Championship at University Ridge includes:

  • Fully vaccinated individuals will have the choice of not wearing facial coverings indoors or outdoors on University Ridge grounds.
  • Those who are unvaccinated should wear facial coverings in all indoor locations, and are strongly encouraged to wear them outdoors when they cannot be physically distant from others.

Public bleacher seating will not be available on tournament ground. Fans are encouraged to bring chairs to the event.

The golf tournament runs from June 11 through June 13.
