Madison Capitols release 2021-2022 season schedule

It will be the first time the Capitols play hockey in 537 days.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Madison Capitols have officially unveiled their 2021-2022 season schedule.

The hockey team is scheduled to begin their season against the reigning Clark Cup Champions, Chicago Steel, on Friday, Oct. 1, according to a release. It will be the first time the Capitols play hockey in 537 days.

All home games will take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:05 p.m, with a single Thursday game taking place on December 16. The season will conclude with a home-and-home series against the Gamblers on April 22 and 23, according to a release.

The team will play under new leadership: Head Coach Tom Upton and Associate Head Coach Corey Leivermann. The two were hired to lead the team last summer.
