Showers And Storms Tonight
Much Needed Moisture
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -A cold front moves through the area this evening and it will bring our best chance of rain in a long time. Scattered showers and storms likely this evening and chances continue into the overnight hours. While we aren’t expecting widespread severe weather, there is the chance of an isolated strong or severe storm. Torrential rainfall and frequent cloud to ground lightning are also possible with any storm. Overnight lows will be warm and humid and into the upper 60s.
An early shower possible Saturday, otherwise, partly cloudy skies return. It will be slightly cooler and less humid with highs into the middle 80s. High pressure will settle in by the afternoon and be the main weather player through the week ahead. This means plenty of sunshine and dry conditions. Temperatures will start off into the lower and middle 80s before climbing to around 90 by the end of next week. Humidity levels will also start to creep upwards with each passing day.
The next weathermaker will arrive late Thursday and into Friday. That will bring the next best chance of shower and storm activity to southern Wisconsin.
