MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The School District of Janesville reports Friday most of its staff has been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Ninety-three percent of staff have received their COVID-19 vaccine, the district reported.

The district stated 329 students tested positive for COVID-19 at some point during the school year, with 1,625 students deemed close contacts from school encounters. There are more than 9,500 students enrolled in the district.

SDJ notes November was the highest month of COVID-19 cases, with 80 positive students, followed by December with 52 positive students.

According to the Department of Health Services’ COVID-19 dashboard, 47.7% of Rock County residents have received their first shot and 41.7% have completed their COVID-19 series.
