Amanda Morgan

Meteorologist
Amanda Morgan

Amanda Morgan joined the First Alert weather team in June of 2022. However, this isn't her first time working at NBC15! Amanda interned at the station for a semester in 2019 while finishing her Atmospheric and Oceanic Science degree at UW.

After graduation, she worked at KTTC in Rochester, Minnesota where she covered everything from blizzards to tropical depressions to tornado outbreaks in December.

While thrilled to be back in Madison, Amanda is a Minnesotan through and through (go Vikings!). She was raised on a hobby farm just north of the Twin Cities, and grew up cleaning horse stalls, baling hay, raising litters of kittens, and of course, shoveling lots of snow.

In her free time, you can usually find her doing something outside (biking, hiking, cross-county skiing), reading a book at a coffee shop, listening to a true crime podcast, or taking an absurd amount of pictures of her cat, Rhubarb.

You can find pictures of Rhu and other weather-related things on Amanda's Facebook and Twitter.
