Charlie received his degree in Meteorology from the UW-Madison in 1988.
After graduating, he joined the Air Force and was a pilot before returning to Madison in 1990.
He has been forecasting the weather on television since 1990, and has been NBC15's morning meteorologist since 1994.He became Chief Meteorologist at NBC15 in 2010.
Charlie resides with his wife, Corie, and their four children (Max, Jenna, Kenzie, and Lucas) in Middleton. He enjoys golf, cooking, reading, gardening and watching sports.
In addition to his weather reports on NBC15 news, Charlie owns and operates WeatherNet, Inc., a weather consulting business. The company serves numerous clients including Madison Gas and Electric, Alliant Energy, the City of Madison, various construction companies, school districts, and municipalities. He also serves as an expert witness in weather-related civil and criminal cases.
