Hannah Flood joined the NBC15 news team in January 2016 as a Multimedia Journalist/Reporter and is now waking up early as anchor of The Morning Show.
Originally from the Twin Cities, Hannah has grown roots here in Madison. She grew up spending weekends at her family's cabin in northern Wisconsin, so she feels a special connection to the state.
Hannah was the recipient of the 2018 Wisconsin Technical College District Boards Association Media Award, a statewide award. Hannah was honored for a report showing how schools partner with manufacturers and train employees to fill high-tech workforce needs.
Before coming to NBC15, Hannah held internships for KARE11 News in Minneapolis, KSTP 5 Eyewitness News in St. Paul, and WDIO-TV in Duluth.
She also gained experience working as an intern reporter at the Minnesota State Capitol in the spring of 2015.
Hannah graduated from the University of Minnesota's School of Journalism and Mass Communication in December of 2015, and is a die-hard Minnesota sports fan.
When she's not in the newsroom Hannah, is usually spending time outdoors or watching a sporting event. Despite being a Gopher, she says she still enjoys watching the Badgers play. She also loves trying different restaurants and visiting new places. If you can’t find her at the Capitol, she’s likely visiting a farm, doing a story with animals or trying to get out on the lake to go fishing.
Hannah loves exploring the Capital City and all that southern Wisconsin has to offer. If you want to share things happening in your community, have story ideas, or know of any places Hannah should check out, you can contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
