Tim Elliott joined the NBC15 news team in June 2018 as anchor of The Morning Show. This is his second stint with the station. He first worked as a reporter and anchor from 2010 to 2013.
He came to NBC15 from WISN in Milwaukee, where he spent three years also as an anchor and reporter.
Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tim and his family moved to Janesville (Craig HS '03) when he was 10-years-old. Despite his East Coast roots, Tim considers Wisconsin home and is thrilled to be back working at the station he grew up watching.
Tim graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the spring of 2007 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Shortly after graduation, Tim landed his first job in television as a producer at WTVY, the CBS-affiliate and our Gray Television sister-station in Dothan, Alabama. After two years producing, Tim made the switch and began reporting for WTVY.
His next move came in the fall of 2010. Tim returned to Wisconsin to work at NBC15. He spent two years working as a reporter before being promoted to co-anchor of the market’s #1 morning show.
Tim then headed south once again, joining the WLKY news team in Louisville, Kentucky, as a general assignment reporter.
When Tim isn’t pounding the streets for a story, you can probably find him kickin’ it on the soccer field. When he’s not playing soccer, he’s watching it. He follows most of Europe's top leagues, but mainly the English Premier League. He's a long-time supporter of Tottenham Hotspur, a club located in north London. He also follows U.S. Men’s National team closely.
Tim lives in Verona with his wife Lindsey and their lab/beagle mix, rescue pup Dempsey.
