Dylan Robichaud is the newest member of The Weather Authority. You will find him anchoring the weekend evening weather on NBC15 News and CW News at 9, as well as NBC15 News at 4 p.m. during the week.
Prior to joining NBC15 in April 2019, Dylan worked as the morning meteorologist at our sister-station KNOE, in Monroe, La.
Originally from Massachusetts, Dylan is no stranger to the cold and snow that Wisconsin has to offer. In fact, winter weather is what spawned his love for meteorology.
"My most notable memories were staying up past midnight with my brother during the blizzards of 2001 and 2003, and watching Meteorologist Paul Kocin for several hours at a time on The Weather Channel bring us winter storm coverage."
Dylan graduated from Lyndon State College in May 2016 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Electronic Journalism Arts. He then went on to continue his education at Penn State University where he studied Meteorology and earned his Undergraduate Certificate in Weather Forecasting.
When Wisconsin weather turns ugly, he loves to ditch his suit and tie, and head out into the elements to bring live reports as the events unfold.
On fair weather days, Dylan enjoys telling relatable weather stories to the viewer. His most recent stories explained the impacts that high and low pressure have on hunting and fishing.
In his free time, you’ll find him trying local restaurants in Madison.
He’s an avid runner, enjoys live concerts, and loves international traveling. He's been to Italy, Greece, China, and the Virgin Islands. He's also planning an upcoming trip to Australia and Indonesia.
If you see Dylan out in the public, don't be afraid to say hi! He says the most satisfying part of his job is meeting with viewers and hearing what type of story ideas they have. If you have an idea send him an email at Dylan.Robichaud@NBC15.com
