MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Madison is ready for the summer, and it’s kicking off the season with the annual WORT Block party.
The block party is truly that, a party in the street between the Monona Terrace and Capitol building.
Dozens came out Sunday afternoon for the big event, and to support their local radio station.
“We have live music all day long, we have a kids' activity area that goes until 4:00, we've got craft and food vendors,” says Glenn Mitroff, Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator for WORT. “It's just a great time to come out, see your neighbors in downtown Madison, enjoy the music, enjoy the weather."
This year marks the 22nd annual WORT Block Party.
