Three people were rescued from vehicles early after significant flash flooding in Grant County early Sunday morning.

The three individuals were rescued from their vehicles by Swiftwater rescue personnel on Vesperman Road near Ellenboro, according to Grant County Emergency Management. Northern and central Grant County received up to 8 inches of additional rainfall Saturday night.

Grant County Emergency Management is working to compile a damage assessment from Saturday night's flash flooding. Residents that sustained structural damages to their home, damages to utilities, or other damages greater than $1,500, are asked to report those damages to Grant County Emergency Management.

Damage information and photos can be sent to sbraun@co.grant.wi.gov, or by submission to the Grant County Emergency Management site on Facebook. Residents can call 608-723-7171 during regular business hours.

Once Grant County Emergency Management has a damage assessment across the county, they will determine if any disaster assistance or aid will be needed following the flash flooding.
