Bucky on Parade: Sunburst returns to James Madison Park

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- The popular Bucky Badger statue Sunburst will be coming back Wednesday to James Madison Park after an unexpected swim.

The terrace-themed statue was removed from the parade route on May 10 following an incident of vandalism.

Sunburst is one of 85 six-foot-tall Bucky Badgers designed by artists from throughout the state of part of the public art project.

The Bucky statues will be on display throughout greater Madison, including Fitchburg, Verona, Middleton, Monona, Sun Prairie, and the UW-Madison campus through September 12.
