Juvenile referred to Sauk Co. DA for cruelty to animals

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A juvenile is being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney's Office after a group of children apparently beat a goose to death with sticks at a park in Baraboo on Friday.

The Sauk County Sheriff's Office said the investigation concluded at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The juvenile is being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney's Office for cruelty to animals.

The Sauk County Sheriff's Office says a call came in reporting the incident around 3:30 p.m. Friday, and authorities later confirmed that the goose was indeed dead at Haskins Park.
