MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Seven people were taken to the hospital, including four suspects who were in a vehicle that fled police, after a crash in Milwaukee Thursday, April 18 near 40th and North.
Police said officers were conducting an operation in which they were searching for wanted subjects throughout the city -- and the individuals in the fleeing vehicle came up on their radar around 3:30 p.m.
According to police, the suspect vehicle refused to stop, went through the intersection near 40th and North, and was struck by a school bus and a truck.
Four suspects in the fleeing vehicle were taken into custody and transported to area hospitals. One of the suspects was in critical condition, police said.
Officials say two people on the bus, an adult female and a 13-year-old boy, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
