MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Madison police say a Georgia man visiting Madison has been arrested three times in 15 days for operating while intoxicated.
Police arrested David Ndong, 26, early Wednesday morning on North Butler Street. Ndong pulled up to a squad car at 3:20 a.m. to ask for directions, and the officer recognized the man and realized he was intoxicated. Ndong was arrested for his third offense of drunken driving this month.
The first offense happened on Tues. June 4 just before 1 a.m. after an officer saw his car drifting in and out of traffic lanes on Johnson and Bassett Streets, according to officials.
Then on Sat. June 15, the Atlanta native was pulled over for driving the wrong way on West Gilman. Ndong told police, "One ways are everywhere!" He was cited for his second offense OWI.
When police processed Ndong for his third OWI Wednesday, officers also found paperwork in his car from the previous two OWI arrests, as well as another citation - issued by an MPD officer last Thursday - for hit-and-run.
