Bear spotted roaming UW-Platteville campus: 'Just leave the big fella alone'

Bear concerns continue Monday after the Platteville Police Department warned residents not to bother a black bear that was spotted roaming the UW-Platteville campus.

, police said the bear was spotted Monday morning. The Wisconsin DNR was contacted, and police are advising people to "just leave the big fella alone."

Black bears were also spotted in Lafayette and Grant counties earlier this month.
