Beaver Dam man who delivered fatal heroin guilty of Reckless Homicide

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (WMTV)- A Beaver Dam man found was found guilty of First Degree Reckless Homicide for the delivery of heroin that killed a Reeseville man.

Jason Thompson, 41, of Beaver Dam was found guilty by a Dodge County jury after James Hook, of Reeseville was found dead after using heroin Thompson had provided in 2016.

Text messages between Thompson and the victim indicate that the victim obtained the heroin through Thompson and used the heroin that night. Later that evening, Hook was found unresponsive in his residence.

Thompson faces up to 46 years in prison and $110,000 in fines.

A sentencing heading has been set for May 1, 2019.
