BELOIT, Wis. (WMTV)--- A former Beloit high school principal has resigned from his position after he was placed on administrative leave.
Brian Vissers, a spokesperson with the School District of Beloit said Dr. Orlando Ramos, former principal at Beloit Memorial High School, has resigned his position effective immediately.
Ramos was placed on administrative leave last week. The district said the reason for the leave was a personnel matter.
Vissers said a plan will be in place by the end of this week for a permanent interim principal will be named. This person will serve the position until the end of this school year.
Ramos started with the Beloit School District in the summer of 2018. It was his first year as principal at Beloit Memorial High School.
According to his Linkedin profile, Ramos was the Regional Superintendent – High Schools for the Milwaukee Public Schools before coming to Beloit.
