Bucky on Parade: Madison College helps get statues ready

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Before dozens of life-size Bucky statues take over Dane County, the "Bucky on Parade" project came together with the hard work of many people.

Madison College students helped get the statues ready to go.

"Madison College is all about community, " said Dr. Turina Bakken, Provost of Madison College. "Not only was this was a great opportunity to feature our faculty artists, but we have seven of our applied science engineering and technology programs involved."

Although Madison College is known as the WolfPack, Bucky holds a special meaning for the campus.

"Bucky is a great friend of Madison College," said Bakken. "It's our number one transfer partner and the University of Wisconsin is our premiere education partner. We were honored to be a part of this and give back to the community."
