Bucky on Parade: Last day to see statues is Sept. 12

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)--- A free public art project in the Madison area is ending September 12.

"Bucky on Parade" began May 7. It features 85 creatively designed life-sized Bucky Badger statues positioned throughout Madison and Dane County

Kate Dale and Rob Gard from the Madison Area Sports Commission and the Greater Madison Convention and Visitor's Bureau talked about the "Bucky on Parade" Finale Party.

The finale party The finale party is September 29 at the Kohl Center. It will feature the Spirit Squad, UW Marching Band, MadHatters, and Bucky Badger. People will also have the chance to own one of 30 statues in an auction. Event proceeds benefit Garding Against Cancer, the Madison Area Sports Commission, and other local charities.
