Bucky on Parade: Statues removed

MADISON, Wis. The 'Bucky on Parade' statues are being removed from their various locations and getting cleaned up for the finale event at the Kohl Center on September 29th.

"It's been a great summer and the community response was amazing," Kate Dale, director of marketing for the Greater Madison Convention and Visitors Bureau said.

Fifty-five of the Bucky statues have already been purchased by sponsors, but the remaining thirty statues will go up for auction during the finale event September 29th.

There were 85 statues total and Dale said the amount of people who made it their mission to see all of them was, "unreal."

"We knew people would want to see all of them, but we had well over 2,000 people come into our office to pick up their, 'I found all of them' pin," Dale said.

Organizers are still counting the total amount of donation money 'Bucky on Parade' raised. Dale said the money raised is going to several different charities.

Tickets are still available for the finale event. You can purchase them here.
