Car crashes into living room in Manitowoc

MANITOWOC, Wis. (WBAY) - Manitowoc Police believe a driver was under the influence before a car crashed into the living room of a house on Lawton Terrace Tuesday night.

The car crashed through the front of the home on the 900-block at about 6 o'clock. Three people in the car jumped out and ran.

People were in the living room at the time, but they weren't hurt.

Police arrested the driver ,a 25-year-old Two Rivers man. He's being referred to the district attorney for a charge of Abuse of Hazardous Substance (Inhalants). He was also cited for first-offense OWI, possession of THC, and operating while suspended. He's currently in the Manitowoc County Jail.

Police say speed was also a factor.

Officers are still trying to locate the three people who fled. Anyone with information is asked to call Manitowoc Police or give their tip anonymously to CrimeStoppers at (920) 683-4466.
