MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Police arrived with the Madison Fire Department to a vehicle on fire and an injured person on the east side of Madison Friday night.
A truck had been parked in the area of Brandie Road after being repaired earlier in the week, according to Madison Police Chief Mike Koval's blog.
A 33-year-old man approached the vehicle with a lit cigarette in his mouth and when he opened the door, there was a small explosion at 10:02 p.m., according to the blog post.
The man was taken to a local hospital with nonlife-threatening burns. The Madison Fire Department is investigating.
