BARABOO, Wis. (WMTV) - Family relics are what carry on your loved memories. One family has a big relic that takes us on a whirl.
Wendy Moore’s grandfather purchased the carousel around 70 years ago. “It brought tears to my eyes because it was such a magical part of my childhood,” Moore said about the carousel.
As we near the end of her mother’s life…it’s the remarkable moments that stay with us. Her family relic hasn’t just brought her joy, it is bringing residents’ holiday cheer as well.
The Christmas carousel is a holiday tradition that has circled around for decades. It was made in Tomah in the 1950s and the carousel has gone around to many cities in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
