MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Several public works departments are beginning to collect Christmas trees and wreaths or preparing for pickup.
The following are pick-up dates around the area:
Christmas Trees are removed on the regular brush collection schedule and need all wiring or metal removed prior to placing at the curb. Wreaths and garland will NOT be picked-up because metal and wiring cannot be put through the brush chipper.
Christmas tree pick-up will be on Jan. 3 through the month. Wreaths and garland will NOT be picked-up.
• Village of Marshall
Christmas Trees are collected every Wednesday during the month of January. Just place your Christmas tree at the curb by 7:00am on collection day.
• Sun Prairie
Trees will be picked up on Jan. 7 and Jan. 22
Pickup will be during the month of January. Do not bag your Christmas tree, take everything off and put it on the curbside.
Trees will be picked-up the week of and 2 weeks after Christmas. Trees still on curbside will be picked up on regular brush pickup days, which occur every other week.
Unscheduled collection of Christmas trees will start in January. Branches stacked at the curb will also be picked up at this time.
Christmas tree pick-up will be on Jan. 14.
Christmas tree pick-up will be on Jan.7, Jan. 14 and Jan. 21
The City of Platteville Street Department will be picking up Christmas trees (weather permitting) on the following Mondays: January 8, 15, 22 and 29, 2018. Trees should be placed at curbside for pick up. Please call (608) 348-9741 extension 2238 with any questions.
Christmas trees and wreaths may be disposed of during the regularly scheduled pick-up day.
• Richland Center
Christmas Trees will be picked up January 7, 14, 21, and 28th of 2013. Place trees at the curb side the night before pickup.

Residents should place their tree curbside before 6:00 a.m. on their regularly scheduled garbage collection day.
Trees also accepted at the Recycling Drop Off Center on Springbrook Court from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
Tree pick-up begins Jan. 2.
Don’t pick-up trees. Contact city to find out drop off locations.
Tree pick-up everyday starting on Dec. 26.
