MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- There are several communities in our area that are offering sandbags for its residents. Those in need of sandbags are still advised not to attempt to drive through roads covered in water.
Adams County Solid Waste 1420 Highway 21 from 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m - sand bags are in office – check in at office
Adams County Highway Dept Office – 1342 County Road F from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Rome Municipal Building – 1156 Alpine Dr from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
You must bring your own shovels etc to fill sand bags.
Adams County residents who have suffered damages to their home or business from flooding should report their damages by calling 211, according to Adams County Emergency Management.
Columbia County: Highway Shop at 338 West Old Highway 16 in Wyocena
Lodi: Free sandbags available to fill at Lodi Public Works Shop at 249 Water St. Please bring own shovels, and truck or trailer to haul them.
Pardeeville: Free sandbags available to fill for residents at the Pardeeville Public Works Garage at 307 Roosevelt St. Please bring own shovels, and truck or trailer to haul them.
City of Portage: Department of Public Works at 616 Washington Street.
City of Columbus: Contact the City of Columbus at (920) 623-5900.
The City of Lodi is asking for volunteers to help fill sandbags. Please go to the Public Works garage on Water St. if you can help.
Rock Town Hall: Sand and sandbags available at the Rock Town Hall at 5102 S CTH D, Afton WI. Residents will need to fill and transport their own bags.
Newville Park and Ride: Sand and sandbags available at the Newville Park and Ride located off I-39/90 at exit 163. Residents will need to fill and transport their own bags.
City of Janesville: The city is providing sandbags for Rock County residents at 900 N. Parker Drive. At this time, residents must call the City Services Center at 608-755-3110 to schedule pickup between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Hours may be extended should the demand for sandbags continue or the flooding risk be prolonged. The City also provides sand at Dawson Softball Complex (920 Beloit Avenue), but residents must bring their own bags and shovels.
Town of Beloit: The town is providing sand and sandbags to Town of Beloit residents at 3444 S Riverside Dr. and the Town Hall located at 2871 S Afton Rd. Residents will need to fill and transport their own bags.
City of Beloit: The city is providing sandbags for Beloit residents at 2351 Springbrook Court. Residents can pick up at this location. Please call 608-364-2929 with any questions regarding pickup.
