FITCHBURG, Wis. (WMTV) - Fire crews fought a fire at a home in Fitchburg that reignited just hours after the initial flames.
Just before 2 a.m. Monday, crews were called to the home on Byrneland Street. Officials said the house reignited after an initial fire around 7 p.m. Sunday.
The home was vacant during both fire, no injuries have been reported. The Fitchburg Fire Department said after the first fire, the damage was around $10,000. After the home reignited, the house is likely a total loss.
Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
