SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) - Crews were able to put out a fire at a home near Sun Prairie in single-digit temperatures Tuesday morning.
According to Dane County Dispatch, just after 6 a.m. a call came in for the fire with visible flames on Branch Road near Sun Prairie and Bristol. Departments from Sun Prairie, Deforest, and Marshall responded and were able to quickly put the flames out.
Assistant Sun Prairie Fire Chief Bill Sullivan told NBC15 that the fire started in the living room on an exterior wall. The house is habitable and no injuries were reported.
Sullivan said the biggest concern was the wear and tear on firefighters in the cold temperatures. With the additional help, crews were able to rotate quickly and put the fire out.
An investigation has been opened into the cause of the fire.
