FITCHBURG, Wis. (WMTV) - Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are known as inflammatory bowel diseases which affects 3.1 million Americans.
On Saturday, June 8th at McKee Farms Park, over 400 walkers will participate in the Take Steps Walk to raise money to fund research to find a cure.
NBC15's Gabriella Rusk sat down with the 2019 Take Steps Honored Hero, Avery Holtman, who's been part of the walk for the past three years. Avery was diagnosed as an early teen and is passionate about making sure more kids get the help they need.
