Dane Co. Sheriff receives Special Olympics award

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy Lori Casper is being named Special Olympics Volunteer of the Year.
According to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, the award will be presented to Deputy Casper on Saturday, May 6th, at the Wisconsin Professional Police Association Banquet in Wisconsin Dells.
Deputy Casper has been a Special Olympics volunteer for 17 years. The cause is very special to Lori since her son is a Special Olympics athlete.
“Deputy Lori Casper has dedicated her life and career to service to others before herself. This award exemplifies her dedication to Special Olympic athletes and to ensuring these athletes are provided opportunities to excel in sporting events and in life,” said Sheriff Dave Mahoney.
