The East Madison Community Center is months away from getting a makeover.

The non-profit was selected as this year's "Design for a Difference" project.

This marks the fourth year a Madison non-profit has been chosen for the makeover.

On Thursday, crews were there to check out this site for the upcoming project.

"Small changes can make a huge difference really in the way you feel when you walk into the space, how you use the space, how efficient you can be and it just changes the way, you know, it affects the community. It's amazing," said Angela Skalitzky, the National Ambassador for Design a Difference.

Skalitzky went on to say that the makeover consists of small changes that are able to be done within a one to two week time period, and without having to get a permit.

While the changes make be small, they are still impact-full.

Demo and construction begins in September and the big reveal is in October.
