Driver killed after vehicle crashes, catches fire

One person was killed when their vehicle went into a ditch and caught fire.

According to a release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle driving on South Paddock Road when it went into a ditch and collided with a concrete culvert. The driver was pinned in the vehicle. It flipped and the engine caught fire.

The driver was found dead at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled.

The Town of Beloit Fire and Police Departments and the Rock County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash.
