MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A former Madison Police officer was sentenced to thirty days in jail for an OWI.
Kelly Hoeft will serve her time in Barron County. After she's released from jail, she will not be allowed to drive for 14 months.
She will also have an ignition interlock installed in her car.
Hoeft was arrested in 2017 after police say she was driving erratically and crashed into road signs.
Prosecutors say her young son was in the car at the time.
On October 2nd in Dane County Court, she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor Operating While Intoxicated charge. A charge for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration with a minor in the vehicle was dismissed.
