MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)--- Former Falk Elementary School students saw a need for Spanish language textbooks for its new dual language immersion program and decided to help.
Brian, Brad and Elizabeth Borland funded the project when they learned about a need for books in Spanish in the school.
It’s to honor the memory of their parents, Glenn and Caroyln.
“My dad spent over 35 years in the school district, and he touched all the high schools. My mom of course she lived in Madison her whole life, and I think they would look at this as number one. It’s all about the kids with them. What do the kids need? Where is the big need?” said Brian Borland.
400 Spanish language textbooks will be used for the school’s new dual language immersion program.
