Founder of Rastafarian church in Madison charged for selling marijuana

A man arrested during a drug raid at a Rastafarian church in Madison was charged with three felonies Tuesday.
Online court documents say the founder of the church, 23-year-old Dylan Bangert of Madison, was charged in court with manufacturing and delivering THC; possessing with intent; and maintaining a drug trafficking place.
Bangert and co-founder Jesse Schworck, 39, were initially arrested June 29 after authorities served a drug search warrant at Lion of Judah House of Rastafari, at 555 West Mifflin Street.
Bangert and Schworck were then released on signature bond. But on the same day the pair were arrested for the second time: Bangert for possession of THC and bail jumping, Schworck for disorderly conduct.
Bangert's initial appearance in court is scheduled for June 24.
