Funeral for fallen Milwaukee Police officer scheduled for Wednesday

MILWAUKEE,Wis.(WMTV)-- Milwaukee Police said the funeral for fallen officer Matthew Rittner will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019.

Visitation and the funeral will be at the Oak Creek Assembly of God Church at 7311 S. 13th St. Oak Creek, WI 53154.

Visitation will be held from 9a.m. to 1p.m. and the service will follow. Following the service, there will be a procession to the Krause Funeral Home located at 21600 W. Capitol Dr. Brookfield, WI 53005.

On Tuesday, there will be a private visitation for Officer Rittner from 3:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. Milwaukee Police Department members, Milwaukee Fire Department members and Military personnel are invited to attend.

Rittner was shot and killed Wednesday, while serving a search warrant on Jordan P. Fricke, who was wanted for the illegal sale of firearms and drugs. Rittner is the third Milwaukee officer killed in the line of duty in the past eight months.
