Gov. Walker attends Madison Business Day
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Governor Scott Walker spoke at Business Day at the Monona Terrace on Wednesday.
The Governor address Wisconsin job creators and business owners at the annual event hosted by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC).
"The percentage of people working in Wisconsin is among the best in the country. But there’s more work to be done. That’s why our 2017-2019 budget proposal invests our hard-earned savings back into our top priorities – student success, accountable government, and rewarding work," said Walker.
His Budget proposal includes more than $590M in tax relief as well as proposals to lower property taxes, providing working families with a sales tax holiday on school supplies and clothing and cutting income taxes. If approved, the tax cuts over Walker's two terms total $8 billion.
