Governor Scott Walker approved Friday a $2.8 million emergency contract to reconstruct two bridges in Black Earth.

Two US 14 bridges were damaged by flooding in August. Work to replace the bridges is underway. Construction is scheduled for completion in mid-November. The project includes the replacement of the structures spanning Black Earth Creek.

Governor Walker declared a State of Emergency in Wisconsin on Aug. 29 because of wide-spread flooding and storm damage in numerous counties.
